Time to
explore
more?

Like to dive deeper into neuro-affirming practice, nut out your caseload together, be challenged, validated, expand your skill set and integrate this into your own values and world view?
There's nothing I love more than walking alongside you.
I am currently undertaking the OTA Clinical Supervisor Certification Program
Clinical Supervisor relationships are like no other.
They are not your colleague; yet you discuss work.
They are not your therapist; yet you discuss your emotional journey.
They are not your friend; yet you develop closeness.
They are not your manager; yet they support accountability.

Then what is the supervision relationship?
From my perspective, supervision needs to be safe first and foremost. Without emotional safety, it is not easy to develop trust and take learning risks. Revealing one's reasoning and understanding regarding clients, and asking for support and reflection regarding our blind spots is a vulnerable and delicate process.

What is my approach?
I am a sounding board for your wonderings. We get to be curious together! I might ask some questions to deepen your reflection or clarify some of your postulating. I see my role as a guide in tapping into your innate wisdom as a clinician. I use principles from arts therapy, narrative therapy, ACT and work from Brene Brown to explore your work together. This may be discussing specific clients, an area of practice, transference, professional documentation, time management, liaising with client supports, NDIS requirements etc. It's your time.

I am endorsed to provide Focused Psychological Strategies under Medicare and I am familiar with Medicare item numbers and the NDIS. I am not experienced in mid - complex AT.
I have experience providing supervision/mentoring for Occupational Therapists, Art Therapists, Counsellors, Social Workers & Psychologists and have provided support for 100's of OT students.
