*Adult Routines Sensory Executive Dysfunction

“I can’t start anything until it’s urgent.”
When Routines, Sensory Needs & Executive Functioning
Go Rogue!

“Sensory overwhelm wipes out my whole day.”
“Routines don’t stick, no matter how hard I try.”
“My brain shuts down when there are too many steps.”

If you’re an autistic or ADHD adult (diagnosed, self-identified, or exploring), you may find yourself saying the above.
This isn’t laziness.
This is executive dysfunction, sensory load, and neurodivergent energy patterns and they deserve support, not shame.
Introducing: Can’t Be A***D!
A practical, warm, no-shame occupational therapy program designed to help neurodivergent adults build flexible routines, reduce overwhelm, and create daily systems that make life feel more doable with an AuDHDer OT who lives it!
This program isn’t about fixing you.
It’s about understanding your brain, your sensory world, and your unique needs and building strategies that actually fit.

How the Program Works:
We explore your routines, barriers, strengths, energy patterns, sensory needs, and daily demands.

We use card sort tools (the MYSET, the NDPEOPLE , My Body's Power Pack), Dopamenus, Goblin Tools
and more to determine your sensory needs, routines, energy chargers and drainers and sticking points in engaging in daily activities.

This is undertaken over 3 - 4 sessions.
You choose what matters most. We build step-by-step supports that genuinely help.

Weekly or fortnightly practical coaching, strategy tweaking, and real-time problem solving that fits into your weekly routines. We may use concepts from The Neurodivergence Skills Workbook for Autism and ADHD, The Autistic Burnout Workbook, The ADHD Brain Buddy and body based nervous system regulators.

This is undertaken over 3-4 sessions

Visual routines, checklists, sensory soother plans, assistive technology, cognitive offloading systems, dopamine menus. This is where we make the completely personalised physical tools to help you stay on track.

-
Shame-Free, Pressure-Free Support
-
No pushing. No “just try harder.
-
We adapt strategies to your capacity, not the other way around.
-
All documented in an easy to access format for use at home
Why This Works
Because it’s designed by an AuDHDer around how neurodivergent brains function best:
dynamic, creative, sensitive, and deeply responsive to context.
You don’t need more discipline.
You need systems that honour your neurotype.
